WES Bologna Montana will rock it again!

Monaco (P.ty) Tuesday 28 March 2023 – WES is delighted to announce the Bologna Montana Round as the second event of the racing season, taking place in the Monghidoro area, just like in 2022.

Once again, the Touristic Territory of Bologna-Modena confirms its commitment to E-Mountain Biking as a sustainable sport and the perfect tourism model to explore its amazing mountain chain.

With great tradition as a cycling city, Bologna chooses E-MTB as a catalyst driving the visibility of the entire region by hosting one stage of the World’s top sports competitions.
For the second year in a row, the event will take place at the E-xplora facilities located in the so-called BO.M.B.A., Bologna Montana Bike Area, a spectacular destination for all E-Mountain bikers and nature lovers.

Racing is confirmed to happen on both Saturday 10 and Sunday 11 June thanks to the traditional WES double race format: two Electric Cross-Country races where women and men riders are competing together, the starting grid to be determined by the morning’s qualification race of each day. An exciting weekend full of action and high expectations for reigning World Champions Jérôme Gilloux (France) and Nicole Göldi (Switzerland), as well as local heroes Andrea Garibbo, Martino Fruet and Anna Oberparleiter.

Amateurs with different levels of experience and skills, including families and kids are invited to join the show and experience the E-Bike Fest, an appealing programme featuring guided tours, including the extraordinary chance to ride on and around the World Cup racecourse.
To support this inclusive approach of WES local promoters, during the Bologna Montana event, WES will be glad to host the second edition of “ALL IN – CLUSIVE” a project managed by BO.M.B.A. and Silvia Parente Foundation for Sports, aiming to make some of the most attractive local trails doable for everyone, including people with different kinds of disabilities.
