Col de Turini, France – Sunday 27 July 2025 – Under brilliant sunshine, the UCI E-MTB XC World Cup went back to action in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, putting riders to the test on the 7-lap course that challenged both skill and endurance.

The day began with Qualirace 2 setting the grid for the main event. Once again, Sofia Wiedenroth (Specialized) asserted her dominance by clocking the fastest time, while Jérôme Gilloux (Lapierre Overvolt) secured his first season’s Pole Position in his national soil.
The race featured a different racecourse and a more technical track than Race 1, where Nathalie Schneitter (Trek Bosch) and Gilloux took the Santero Holeshot after the start.

However, Schneitter’s lead was short-lived as Wiedenroth swiftly reclaimed race control and never looked back, delivering a strong performance for her second consecutive victory, further strengthening her position in the women’s overall standings against Anna Spielmann (Haibike), DNS as she couldn’t recover at 100% from her crash during Friday’s free practice session.
Back to Trek’s Swiss, she couldn’t keep pace with the reigning World Champ and had to settle for second place. Giulia Bertoni (Teewing Factory Team) completed the podium with her fourth consecutive third podium step finish.
