2025 UCI E-MTB XC World Championships qualification

The top 15 Men and Women riders from the WES overall standings have earned their places in the upcoming UCI E-MTB XC World Championships one-shot race, slated for Wednesday, September 4, 2025, in Valais, Switzerland.

All nations can enter 5 additional riders.

Reigning World Champions will be defending their title this year. Let’s take a closer look at the most important facts.

Jérôme Gilloux, born on May 22, 1994, hails from Nice City in the Alpes-Maritimes province of France. As a prominent rider representing Lapierre Overvolt Team, he has left a mark on the E-MTB XC racing scene with his achievements. Gilloux was crowned 2021, 2022 and 2024 UCI E-MTB XC World Champion, as well as 2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024 UCI E-MTB XC World Cup Winner.

Sofia Wiedenroth, born on January 30, 1995, won her first rainbow jersey last year in Andorra. Also, she’s a contender at the World Cup, chasing her first title this year, currently as Overall Standings leader, driven by a strong desire to improve and shape her future in the discipline.

WES and the World Championships

Cheile Grădiștei and Monaco Alpes-Maritimes Rounds offered riders the opportunity to prepare for the rainbow jersey battle. After the Worlds, WES action will resume on October 4-5 in Olbia, Italy, and right after, the Season Finale in Massa Marittima.
